Swan played a pivotal role in shaping 1980s Hip-Hop, working with icons like Big Daddy Kane and contributing smooth vocals to classic tracks such as MC Shan’s “Left Me Lonely” and Biz Markie’s “Make The Music With Your Mouth Biz” and “Nobody Beats the Biz.”
Introduced to The Juice Crew by Biz Markie, Swan became a prominent voice in their groundbreaking collaborations. Although he reportedly recorded a full album with Marley Marl, it was never released.
In 2019, Swan announced a documentary project, *The Lost Tribe of QB*, delving into the origins of Hip-Hop in the Queensbridge housing projects. He is also a proud father to his daughter, Lael.
